Domaine de l’Eglise is a Pomerol-based estate that has really increased the quality and consistency of their production since the superb 2009 vintage. 2017 is another in a line of strong releases and is, once again, a blend with an exceptionally high proportion of Merlot (97%) with a small amount of Cabernet Franc (3%). Incredibly youthful and fresh, it is dense, structured and chewy in tannin, but offers delicious notes of black fruits, wild herbs, dark chocolate and earth.
