Drink it now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant. Founded by the Jessiaume family in 1850, Domaine Jessiaume is now owned by Dr. Jean-François Le Bigot, who purchased it from Scottish businessman Sir David Murray, in turn owner until 2020. To reinvigorate the image and prestige of this ancient domain of Burgundy, Le Bigot has decided to focus everything on quality, keeping the oenological team but with new investments in the cellar and the transition to organic cultivation. After the selection and harvest of the Pinot Noir grapes, fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The finished wine then rests for about 10 months in used oak barrels. The Bourgogne Pinot Noir from Domaine Jessiaume has a brilliant and clear color with light red tones. On the nose, it is fresh and lively with a fragrant and fruity aromatic profile with notes of strawberry and raspberry. On the palate, it is juicy, with a medium body and refreshing acidity. The finish is long, lively and fruity. It is a wine with a characteristic fruity profile to be enjoyed in its youth or kept in the cellar for a few years. It makes a great pairing with guinea fowl or Coq au Vin.
