Ducru Beaucaillou Magnum 2006
Ducru Beaucaillou Magnum 2006 is a dry, very full-bodied red from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot (Saint-Julien, France), in the full, structured reds style. Tannins are very firm and acidity fresh; oak influence is noticeable. Those scales describe the wine when young; this is a 20-year-old bottle and its tannin and oak will have softened. Good with steak, lamb, roast chicken, roast pork.

The history of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou dates back to the 18th century, and it has garnered a reputation for producing exceptional wines of great finesse and elegance. The estate`s vineyards are situated near the Gironde estuary, benefitting from a favourable microclimate and well-drained gravelly soils known as "beau caillou," which translates to beautiful pebbles. The 2006 vintage is a blend composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. Expect a combination of dark fruit flavours, elegant tannins, and well-integrated oak.
