Experience Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Cellar for 10 years or more. Decant for up to an hour before serving. This is a 98% Cabernet Sauvignon wine, with a small splash of Merlot. It is a gorgeous ruby colour in the glass and exhibits a bold bouquet of plum, blackberry, and cassis, with background notes of coffee, dark chocolate, and star anise. The fruits were sourced from sun-soaked locations all around Napa Valley, including the Howell Mountain, Rutherford, and Oak Knoll District AVA’s. Experience was founded in 2010 by the dynamic power couple Catherine and Travis Vale. The winery is the product of a chance meeting. In 2001, Travis was working in a winery in Marlborough, New Zealand, while Catherine, the daughter of a master brewer was finishing up a six-month journey around South East Asia and the Antipodes - they met on a tour bus, appropriately named the “Kiwi Experience New Zealand”. The Experience Cabernet Sauvignon is ripe and succulent in the mouth, with beautiful flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, mint, liquorice, and subtle spicy hints of oak. In all, 17% of the mixture was fermented in oak barrels, before the entire mixture was aged for 17 months in French oak before release. It is exceptional value for money, offering an all-encompassing taste of Napa Valley. It is also an excellent partner for a variety of dishes and occasions. Consider pairing this wine with eggplant parmesan, burgers, or game meat.
