Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castillo was founded in the 1960s but was purchased and revamped in 1999 to become one of the most interesting and highest quality bodegas in the Jerez D.O. The Antique series of sherries is a collection of rare wines drawn from individual soleras bottled without fining or filtration to ensure maximum purity and character. This Palo Cortado is produced from grapes from older vines in the highly regard Pago Balbaina sub-zone and is on average 30 years of age. It is beautifully aromatic, elegant and long, with notes of marmalade, roasted nuts, caramel, exotic spices and light coastal hints. Superb with jamon iberico or Manchego cheese.
