Named after Angelo Gaja’s granddaughter and mother, Gaia & Rey was first produced in 1983 and demonstrated the Langhe region could produce world class Chardonnay. It is a fine Piedmontese white wine in the mould of a white Burgundy. It is matured for six to eight months in 225l French oak barrels before bottling. This Chardonnay showcases layers of apple, citrus, and tropical fruit alongside fine minerality and subtle oak influence. Gaja is renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation, leading the Italian wine industry since 1859.
