Château Gazin 2015 is a Pomerol red Bordeaux assembled from Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2015 growing season in Bordeaux was characterised by a warm and dry spring, followed by a hot July, beneficial rainfall in August, and a dry, sunny September, leading to optimal phenolic ripeness. Grapes from clay-gravel and iron-rich subsoils were manually harvested. Fermentation occurred in concrete (and some stainless steel) vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and 18 months of aging in 40-50% new French oak barrels. The resulting wine is 14.5% ABV.
