Merchant's description

Gran Enemigo Cabernet Franc 2013 is a single-vineyard wine from the Gualtallary region of Mendoza, Argentina. Produced by renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil, this Cabernet Franc reflects the unique terroir of its high-altitude vineyard, characterised by stony soils and large diurnal temperature variations, promoting both phenolic ripeness and the retention of acidity. The wine underwent fermentation in 500-litre oak barrels, with a maturation period in used oak foudres, allowing for subtle integration of flavours. With pronounced acidity and a backbone of minerality, this wine presents a structured palate that promises further development with age.
