Grosset Gaia 2018 is a medium-to-full-bodied single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the Clare Valley of Australia. For more than four decades the Grosset family has been honing its craft of producing site-focused varietal wines of the very highest order. The estate vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic and all vineyard and cellar work is manual. Yields and production levels are correspondingly low - with quality over quantity very much the thinking. Winemaker note. "The 2018 vintage has been another impressive one for ‘Gaia’. while it has the power, density of flavour and structure of Cabernet, it also has the plush texture and the approachability of the best examples of the variety. Of course, it will soften and flesh out with good cellaring. The Grosset Gaia 2018 has subtle dark berry aromatics, is powerful, opulent and concentrated with blackcurrant, bramble and graphite flavours and substantial, firmish tannins."
