Product Information Country Australia Region Adelaide Hills Grape Variety Chardonnay Vintage 2020 ABV 13.5% Discover the elegance of the Grosset Piccadilly Chardonnay 2020, a premium cool-climate Chardonnay from the prestigious Piccadilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills. This highly regarded vintage showcases the finesse and purity for which Grosset is renowned. Estate-Grown in Piccadilly Valley, Adelaide Hills Sourced from south-facing vineyards in the ultra-cool sub-region of Piccadilly Valley, this wine reflects the complexity of its terroir. The vines grow in quartz-rich, coarse-grained yellow clays over sandstone, ideal conditions for crafting expressive, high-acid Chardonnay. Low-Yielding Vintage with Exceptional Character The 2020 vintage was small in yield but rich in concentration. Cool ripening conditions throughout February ensured small, flavour-packed berries with naturally high acidity, leading to exceptional structure and depth. Traditional Winemaking with Modern Precision Hand-picked and crafted with care, only the free-run juice was used to preserve purity. Fermented in French oak barriques (40% new) for 10 months with partial malolactic conversion, this Chardonnay balances finesse, texture, and complexity. Tasting Notes Aromas of honeydew melon and nectarine lead into subtle notes of white peach and toasted cashew. The palate is focused, intense, and finely structured with an elegant, lingering finish, a true reflection of high-altitude Chardonnay excellence.
