Hermitage Le Gréal Sorrel 2023 is a red wine from the granite and limestone slopes of Hermitage, produced from old vines in Le Méal and Les Greffieux. The season brought moderate warmth and balanced yields, resulting in fruit of purity and precision. Aromas of blackberry, violet and black olive are lifted by notes of pepper and smoked meat. The palate is concentrated yet poised, its tannins fine and powdery, supporting a core of dark, mineral-driven fruit. Acidity gives clarity and tension through the finish, which is long, savoury and distinctly marked by its hillside origin.
