Hermitage Sorrel 2023 is a red wine from the steep granitic terraces of the Hermitage hill, produced from old-vine fruit sourced mainly from Le Méal and Les Bessards. The vintage brought steady ripening and moderate yields, yielding fruit of clarity and fine concentration. Aromas of blackberry, violet and black pepper are layered with smoked meat and mineral notes. The palate is structured and precise, its tannins firm but finely textured, supporting a core of pure, dark fruit. Acidity provides balance and drive, leading to a long, savoury finish that reflects the vineyard’s depth and hillside character.
