`JJ Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 2011 is a single-vineyard sweet Riesling from the Mosel Valley in Germany. Founded in 1911 by Johann Josef Prüm, Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm focuses solely on terroir-driven Rieslings from distinguished sites like Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Graacher Himmelreich, Zeltinger Sonnenuhr and further upstream at Bernkasteler Badstube. The Grosse Lage Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard is a steep, south-facing slope of pure Devonian blue slate which produces structured and very long-aged Rieslings with a lively, focused minerality. "This aromatic Riesling is gorgeously floral, but not cloying or perfumy, with enticing hints of honey and candle wax. It`s lush and ripe on the palate, with concentrated flavours of tangerine and yellow cherry, along with a streak of lemony acidity that extends the finish." Wine Enthusiast, 2014
