Drink it now or cellar it for up to 8 years. No need to decant it. Josue Terre Siciliane is a side project of the La Bollina winery, followed by the oenologist Andrea Bernardini who knows very well the characteristics of the Italian indigenous grape varieties. In Sicily, the heart of the homeland of the Nero d'Avola grape, the oenologist sensed the potential of the fusion with Cabernet Sauvignon: the fruity dimension of Nero d'Avola is perfectly combined with the spicy personality of Cabernet. The result can only be a special cuvée! The Italian critic Luca Maroni assigned it 99 points, and the jury of the Mundus Vini tasting competition awarded it the Grand GOLD medal and the title of 'Best of Show'. Its intense ruby red color is a pleasure for the eyes. The bouquet seduces with aromas of cherry and morello cherry typical of Nero d'Avola, but also of blueberry, rosemary, and pink pepper that are due to Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine, aged for 9 months in the best French oak barrels, is very elegant, powerful, but not overloaded, silky, and of fantastic length. This intense cuvée requires a substantial accompaniment. Veal, lamb, but also game, or an aged Pecorino will work due to its spicy dimension.
