Michel et Stéphane Ogier L`Ame Soeur Syrah 2009 is a mature Côte Rhodésienne Syrah from the celebrated Côte-Rôtie-producing Ogier family based in Ampuis. Produced with the same attention to detail and terroir focus as the Ogiers` Côte-Rôties, L`Ame Soeur reflects the mica-schist soils and south-exposed vineyards of Seysseul. This wine is aged for 18 months in in barrels, around 20% of which are new. An elegant and expressive Syrah with Côte-Rôtie-like perfume and a fine balance between semi-mature red and black fruits, sweet spice and minerality.
