Located in the eastern part of Pomerol, not far from the renowned Petrus vineyard, Château l`Évangile boasts a 22-hectare vineyard characterized by iron-rich clay and gravel soils. Ideal for Merlot, which constitutes the majority of plantings, with Cabernet Franc occupying around 20% of the vineyard. The 2012 release reveals a primary nose of plums and black ripe fruit. On the palate, it is rich and velvety, displaying soft yet powerful characteristics with notes of blackberries, figs, truffle, blueberries, herbs, cherries, and a hint of chocolate. The wine concludes with a touch of vanilla and a lingering oak finish, indicating its potential for further ageing in the cellar.
