Merchant's description

Made to the same exacting standards as the Grand Vin and from grapes grown in the same vineyard, La Dame de Montrose is the second wine of Saint-Estèphe Second Growth, Château Montrose. From the 2018 vintage, this is a superb release composed of 52% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The subtle nose is dominated by black fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant and Morello cherry), together with aromas of figs and dried fruits, underlined by well-integrated oak and delicate spicy notes. Opulent and refined on the palate with silky tannins and a long and powerful finish. A bright future for a great Dame.
