Merchant's description
La Mondotte`s 4.5-hectares of vines grow on the clay-limestone plateau east of Saint-Émilion and is characterised by its silty clay soils. The estate`s 4.5ha hectares of vineyards are planted to predominantly Merlot, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc. The 1996 vintage is in fact 100% Merlot, aged in 100% new oak barrels on the lees for 24 months.
