`La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 2001 is a Tempranillo-based red wine produced in the Rioja region of Spain. Founded in 1890, La Rioja Alta continues to be a leading producer of traditionally made Rioja wines. Gran Reserva 904 is one of two gran reservas produced by the winery and is only released in exceptional vintages. The 2001 vintage is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano. "Dark ruby-coloured with a garnet rim, it displays a lovely nose of Asian spices, incense, tobacco, balsamic, and blackberry.
