One of the great classics of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, the 2018 vintage is a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. A complex nose, redolent of precious woods and cedar, and supporting black fruit notes of black cherry, cassis and blackberry. The wine rapidly grows in stature on the palate, and is generous, concentrated, fruit-laden and spicy, with very fine tannins. Dry and concentrated, the wine culminates in a particularly long, lingering, seductive finish, characterised by hints of cedar and cigar box.
