Le Dôme is a prestigious Saint-Émilion Grand Cru vineyard and winery located approximately two kilometres to the west of the town. The estate is under the ownership of Jonathan Maltus, a British entrepreneur of Nigerian origin. Previously, the wine was produced at his Château Teyssier estate, which is situated to the south of Saint-Émilion. This former `garage wine` is produced in limited quantities, and places a strong emphasis on Cabernet Franc, with Merlot as a complementary grape. The 2019 vintage was skilfully extracted, revealing a delightful layer of spices, accented by notes of saffron and cinnamon, intermingled with hints of bittersweet dark chocolate and an abundance of cassis.
