Merchant's description

Another Saint-Émilion estate under the ownership and direction of Jonathan Maltus, Les Asteries made its debut in 2005 and takes its name from the specific type of limestone found in the local terroir. From the exceptional 2016 vintage, this is a blend of 83% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Franc that is thoroughly modern in feel. It is rich and full-bodied, with notes of mineral-tinged black fruits, dried herbs, liquorice and cigar smoke.
