Marani Napareuli 2018 is a full-bodied dry red wine produced from the Saperavi grape variety in Kakheti, Georgia. The Napareuli appellation is situated on the south-facing bank of the Alazani River in the north-eastern part of Kakheti, Georgia`s principal winegrowing region. Produced in a `European` rather than a traditional Georgian (qvevri) style, this wine was fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks before a 9-12 month maturation in French oak barriques, with a further period of refinement in steel tanks before bottling. Redolent of spiced strawberry and black-berry fruits with hints of liquorice and oak spice, this 2018 Saperavi is concentrated yet mellow with ripe tannins and a harmonious vanilla-accented finish.
