The Marpaout 2022 is a varietal Merlot wine from Château Branas Grand Poujeaux in the Médoc, Bordeaux. This wine is created from a complex 1.7-hectare plot with a high concentration of crasse de fer (iron-rich clay soil). It presents an intense, elegant, complex profile, offering notes of violets, blood orange, dark cherry, black tea and a subtle saline, mineral quality. The wine is aged in a combination of barrels and amphora, and its production is notably small, with only about 900 bottles made from the 2022 vintage. This bottle is one of just 50 magnums.
