We are really excited to introduce this approachably priced and delicious Rioja rosé from Marques de Caceres, also now in very handy screwcap closure A beautifully pale rosé, the Marques de Caceres Excellens rosé has delicate red fruit flavours with white peach and pear notes. A delightful mouthfeel expresses volume and a balanced vivacity, offering freshness and a long, sweet finish. A selection of Garnacha vines planted on the highest slopes of our village in Rioja Alta to provide finesse. The selected Tempranillo vines are located in the cooler parts of Cenicero and Rioja Alavesa. Grapes are hand harvested early in the morning to take advantage of the cooler night-time temperatures. A brief cold maceration on the skins is then carried out to generate the lovely pale colour and preserve the grapes' primary aromas, giving the Rosé a very fine and elegant nose.
