Merchant's description
Moulin Riche is not a second wine per se but a separate château with distinct plots that is owned and run by the Cuvelier family of Léoville Poyferré. Comprising 20 hectares in a single block next to Talbot, the plantings are a majority Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2009 vintage is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot. Expect a juicy, plump expression with a retained backbone of dark fruit. Drinking well now.
