Merchant's description
The 2005 Château Pape Clément is an incredible release from an estate that has had a remarkable run of form since the late 90s. A blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is incredibly concentrated and sinewy, offering up delicious notes of cassis, black cherry, smoke, liquorice and crushed rocks. Though now firmly in its prime for drinking, this should continue to evolve over the next 15-20 years.
