Pavie Decesse 1986 is a mature-vintage, Merlot-based red wine form the St-Émilion appellation of Bordeaux. Château Pavie-Decesse is a Saint-Émilion property covering 3.65 hectares under vine. The estate produces a single wine, which is made predominantly from Merlot and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc. The wine is fermented in new oak barrels for up to 24 months with racking every 3 months. Final blending takes place just before bottling, without fining or filtering. This bottling is from the 1986 vintage, which in Bordeaux produced an abundant crop of concentrated, full-fruited and long-lived wines.
