Peter Michael Winery was founded by British businessman Sir Peter Michael in the early 1980s with a singular vision. "to make wine in the terroir-driven tradition of Burgundy and Bordeaux, under the California sun and in California soil". Consistency and quality are the principles here – the wines are clearly inspired by the poise and precision of their Old World counterparts but can`t help expressing an edge of Californian richness. Mon Plaisir (My Pleasure), is Peter Micheal’s original Chardonnay, planted in one of their mountainside vineyards, entirely from the Old Went clone. Mon Plaisir Chardonnay 2013 is produced in Sonoma County`s Knights Valley AVA. aromas of ripe stone fruits, green apple, and citrus zest, complemented by nuances of almond and integrated oak. On the palate, it offers a full-bodied experience with a balance of acidity that enhances the concentrated fruit character.
