Merchant's description

Situated in the heart of the Mâconnais, Le Clos des Quarts is located in the village of Chaintré, the southernmost of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. Its oldest vines were planted in 1917. Co-owned and operated by Olivier Merlin and Dominique Lafon, the 2018 is a delightful 100% Chardonnay. The nose evokes aromas of white-fleshed fruits but also floral character. On the palate, the wine is fresh, dynamic and elegant, with a nice salinity on the finish. Persistent and nice balance.
