Poujeaux 2005 is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based, Cru Bourgeois red wine from the Moulis-en-Médoc region of Bordeaux. Set upon the magnificent gravel slopes of Grand-Poujeaux, Château Poujeaux is one of the leading estates in the Moulis appellation of the Médoc, an area well-known for producing elegant wines from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. "This well-known estate is now owned by Clos Fourtet’s Philippe Cuvelier, but the estate was owned by Jean Theil when the 2005 was conceived. This 2005 reveals a beautiful black cherry and cassis-scented nose, with a touch of spring flowers, medium to full body, and supple tannin in a sexy, lush, heady style.
