Etienne Sauzet owns and manages vineyard plots in some of the most esteemed terroirs in Puligny-Montrachet and neighbouring appellations. The estate was founded in the early 20th century by Etienne Sauzet and has been managed by several generations of the Sauzet family. This release hails from the Premier Cru ‘Les Referts’, which tend to produce full-bodied and age-worthy wines. The 1999 vintage in Burgundy produced wines of good quality with excellent ripeness and balance. The weather conditions throughout the growing season were favourable, leading to healthy grapes and good concentration.
