Merchant's description

Product Information Country Italy Region Puglia Grape Variety Primitivo Vintage 2023 ABV 14% Discover the elegance and depth of San Marzano Talò Primitivo di Manduria 2023, a premium Italian red wine crafted in the heart of Salento, Puglia. The Talò range is named in honour of the many family growers of San Marzano, local farmers who care for each vineyard with exceptional dedication, treating every vine as part of their own land. Their passion is at the core of the outstanding quality found in every bottle. Vineyard Grown approximately 100 metres above sea level, the vines thrive in Salento’s thin, clay-rich soils scattered with mineral rocks, an ideal environment for producing intensely flavoured Primitivo grapes. Harvested in the second week of September, each grape reflects the balance of warm Mediterranean days and cool coastal nights, creating a wine of remarkable richness. Vinification The grapes undergo meticulous selection before temperature-controlled fermentation at 25–26°C using selected yeasts for around 10 days. The wine then matures for six months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, developing its smooth texture, spice notes, and signature depth. Tasting Notes This vintage delivers a rich, full-bodied profile bursting with ripe cherries, plums, and brambly forest fruits. Subtle layers of cocoa, vanilla, and warm spice complement its velvety texture. Expect a long, warming finish with bold, opulent flavours, classic characteristics of high-quality Primitivo di Manduria. Discover the Legacy of San Marzano Wines – Premium Apulian Wines from Italy Founded in 1962 by 19 passionate vine growers in the heart of Puglia, San Marzano Winery represents the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Their commitment to quality and authenticity earned them the prestigious ‘Cooperative Winery of the Year’ award in 2022 from Gambero Rosso.
