Romain Guiberteau crafts some of the Loire's most precise expressions of Cabernet Franc from his Saumur-Champigny vineyards. This 2022 captures everything we love about the appellation: silky red fruit, floral elegance, and that distinctive chalky minerality that makes the Loire so compelling. The wine shows beautiful purity and restraint, with cherry and rose petal aromas leading to a palate of surprising depth. It's drinking beautifully now but has the structure to reward patience until 2035, developing those earthy, truffle-like complexities that make mature Saumur-Champigny so captivating.
