Sierra Cantabria Finca El Bosque 2015 is a single-vineyard Rioja produced from old Tempranillo vines. These vines deliver a massive concentration of black fruit and toasted spice in this decade-old wine. The vineyard is situated on a high-density gravel terrace which provides the wine with a firm tannic grip and a deep balsamic complexity. The 2015 vintage was particularly warm and resulted in a bottling with powerful ripeness and a long persistent finish of espresso and dark chocolate. It is aged in new French and American oak which adds a layer of cedar and clove to the dense fruit core.
