Sine Qua Non Raven Series Grenache 2006
Sine Qua Non Raven Series Grenache 2006 is a dry, full-bodied red from Grenache, Syrah (California, United States), in the rich, smooth reds style. Tannins are soft and acidity gentle; oak influence is little. Those scales describe the wine when young; this is a 20-year-old bottle and its tannin and oak will have softened. Good with lamb, roast vegetables, beef stew, barbecue.

Founded in 1994 by Manfred and Elaine Krankl, Sine Qua Non is perhaps the most famous of all the California cult wineries and is renowned for producing exceptionally limited quantities of wines made from the classic varieties of the Rhône Valley. The 2006 Raven Series Grenache is a blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah mostly from the 11 Confessions Vineyard, with a small amount from Bien Nacido.
