Château Sociando-Mallet 2006 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux. Château Sociando-Mallet produces full-bodied wines with a deep, dark colour. Their complex bouquet is usually dominated by black fruit aromas with a touch of minerality and well-integrated, elegant oak. The 2006 contains a higher-than-usual proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in the assemblage. "Tasted blind at Farr Vintners` 2006 tasting, the 2006 Château Sociando Mallet displayed a lifted and sprightly bouquet with black fruit, scorched earth, fresh mint and smoky aromas - quasi-Pauillac in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and a keen line of acidity, fresh in the mouth with a saline tincture towards the composed finish. There is impressive freshness here...it conveys energy." Wine Advocate, 2016
