Spottswoode Estate was created in 1882 but it was only a century later in 1982 that Mary and Jack Novak released their first Cabernet Sauvignon. Since that inaugural vintage they have cemented a reputation as once of the finest producers in California, renowned for their incredibly high quality and remarkably consistent Bordeaux blends. This is the flagship wine and is their ultimate expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from their organically farmed estate vineyard. From perhaps one of the greatest vintages of the 90s, the 1994 is an exceptional release that displays delicious notes of black fruits, leather, dried spices, eucalyptus, cedar, forest floor and dried flowers.
