The first female winemaker in Argentina, Susana Balbo, founded her family-run winery in the late 1990s, establishing herself on the market with her excellent white and rosé wines. Located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Agrelo, Mendoza province, the winery includes four sustainably farmed estates, while the two Finca Dominio Agrelo and Finca Dominio Gualta estates are certified organic. Signature is their premium line, the one that best represents Susana's artistic sensibility, featuring wines that combine the pure expression of terroir with ancient and innovative winemaking techniques. The Signature White is a blend of Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc, and Semillon. The grapes are sourced from vineyards located in Paraje Altamira, at approximately 1,150 meters above sea level in the Uco Valley. Here, temperature variations, intense sunlight, and the altitude favor slow maturation and the development of vibrant acidity. After vinification, the wine ages for 5 months in wood (60% new). In the glass, the wine reveals a delicate and elegant character with a fragrant aromatic profile. On the nose, it displays citrus and white floral notes, hints of white fruit, kiwi, and beeswax, honey, and spices. On the palate, it is crisp and taut, lively and fresh, with a round and creamy texture and a long, complex finish. It is the perfect companion for Asian food.
