Merchant's description
Château de Valandraud is a relatively newcomer in Bordeaux, only established in 1989 by Jean-Luc Thunevin and his wife Murielle Situated in the Saint-Émilion appellation, the estate has gone from strength to strength and in 2012 was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé B. The 1995 vintage is drinking superbly right now, revealing notes of blackberries, anise, balsamic, toasted oak and graphite.
