Conceived in 1972 to commemorate the bicentennial of the House, La Grande Dame pays homage to Madame Clicquot, affectionately known as `La Grande Dame de la Champagne.` Serving as Veuve Clicquot`s prestigious cuvée, it represents an exclusive amalgamation of eight of their historic Grand Crus, delivering a mineral-rich and fresh embodiment of the Veuve Clicquot style. The 2004 vintage comprises a blend of 61% Pinot Noir and 39% Chardonnay, undergoing a lengthy 8-year maturation on the lees. This release marked the return of `La Grande Dame` after a hiatus since 1998.
