Merchant's description
This 1990 vintage Veuve Clicquot reveals a beautiful old brioche nose with light to moderate oxidation, dried apples and pears, Asian spices, and flinty minerality. On the palate, it is a full-bodied champagne, with plenty of very ripe orchard fruit, more oxidative flavours, and excellent acidity that provides a refreshing youthfulness to a mature champagne. The crop in 1990 was the third largest on record and the vintage produced the ripest wines since 1959.
