Crafted with minimal intervention, this wine reflects the unique characteristics of its mountainous terroir. Domaine du Gringet, established by Dominique Belluard, focused on reviving indigenous grape varieties and promoting sustainable viticulture, specifically Gringet a rare Alpine grape variety previously used for “generic” sparkling wines. However, for this wine the absence of a specific grape variety allows the wine to express the terroir more distinctly, showcasing herbal and mineral notes typical of the region’s profile. Belluard sadly passed away in 2021, but his legacy continues with the estate now being run by Raphaël Bennour and Miguel Sarzier who had worked with Belluard for decades, distributing his wines.
