Cellar for up to 4 years. Serve chilled. The billionaire Norwegian businessman Alexander Vik founded Vina Vik in 2004 in Chile’s Chile’s stunning Millahue Valley. To make his dream of crafting world-class Chilean wines a reality, Vik recruited an expert team headed up by Patrick Valette whose family formerly owned Chateau Pavie in Bordeaux. Valette honed his skills working for top chateaux in Bordeaux and leading wineries in Napa before moving back to his native Chile. In total Vina Vik has some 900 acres of vineyards with the finest fruit retained for their estate bottlings and the rest sold to other wineries. This delicious rosé is named after a goddess revered by Millahue’s indigenous people whose name simply translates as “the most beautiful”. It’s a fitting name for this light and elegant wine which is crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. On the nose there are delicate hints of red berries including strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants as well as hints of grapefruit, citrus zest and ripe melon. As you take a sip you’ll immediately notice the mouthwatering freshness, luscious fruit flavours and light texture. A great wine to serve as an aperitif or by the poolside on a hot summer’s day.
