Aux Brûlées sits just above Richebourg on Vosne-Romanée`s slope, and Méo-Camuzet`s old vines, planted in the 1930s, give small berries with excellent concentration. The 2010 is a powerful, aristocratic wine, dense and spicy rather than showy, needing time in the glass and in the cellar to unwind. Expect dark cherry, liquorice and forest-floor notes over a firm, mineral frame. 2010 was a classic, structured red Burgundy vintage. Best from the late 2020s, this rewards genuine patience and decanting.
