de Montille Vosne-Romanée Malconsorts Christiane 2005 is a medium- to full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Les Malconsorts in the Vosne-Romanée appellation of the Côte de Nuits. With a family heritage that can be traced back to the 17th century, Domaine de Montille is renowned as one of the finest producers in Burgundy. The estate has been practising organic farming since 1995 and biodynamic since 2005. Named after Etienne and Alix de Montille’s mother, this sought-after cuvée is made from a 0.49ha holding in Malconsorts, bordering the Vosne Grand Cru of La Tâche. On the 2005. "This is just a flat out sexy and seductive wine with a wonderful panoply of spice nuances, including clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, sandalwood and hoisin that continues onto the rich, velvety and mouth coating medium full flavors that drench the palate in sap and possess a beguiling mouth feel. Like the "regular" Malconsorts, this appears less structured than it really is at present because of the ample sève and impeccable balance.
