Weingut Knoll Ried Loibenberg Smaragd Riesling 2032 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard white wine from the Wachau region of Austria. Since Weingut Knoll launched in the 1950s, it has been instrumental in shaping Wachau’s reputation as a serious, high-quality wine-growing region. Knoll has 18 hectares of vineyards along the slopes of the Danube river in Wachau. Loibenberg is the warmest vineyard Knoll works with; it is south-facing and the terraces reflect the heat. This makes for a charming and generous expression of Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. From this 2023 Smaragd Riesling, expect notes of sweet citrus, delicate peach and orange blossom. The wine is elegant and juicy on the palate, with fine acid structure, yellow peach fruit and a very long, zesty finish.
