The 2016 Château Yquem is a blend of 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc. Its perfumed nose is infused with notes of white chocolate, chamomile, and white tea complementing the honeyed fruit. The medium-bodied palate features a viscous opening, a delicate thread of acidity, and hints of ginger and lemongrass that add vibrancy to the finish. The wine has definitely gained more complexity in recent years and continues to evolve.
