Merchant's description
Alzero is made in almost the same way as Quintarelli’s Amarones in that this is 100% appassimento. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, masterfully put together by one of the best wineries in Italy. The nose is dominated by black cherries, tobacco, dark chocolate and woody scents. The palate is rich and concentrated but never overpowering. Fine herbal notes on the long finish.
