While it shares the same base of 55% Corvina and meticulous appassimento as the Classico, the Riserva remains in large oak casks for over 10 years before release. The 1985 vintage is frequently cited as one of the greatest in the estate’s history, showcasing a profound tertiary complexity of leather, forest floor and dried porcini. Despite the long oxidative ageing process, the wine maintains a core of raisin and spice, held together by a refined acid-tannin balance.
